Well first of all we start with regulation of sexual activity so that no person is having relations with a close blood relative. We also need reproduction to sustain ourselves as a people because without it we would go extinct. Third a family helps us have someone to talk to and gives us financial security and someone to look after our wellbeing. And lastly family helps us to find out the norms of society and show us how we should and should not act around other people.

There are four functions of family. These four functions include regulation of sexual activity, socialization, reproduction, and economic and emotional security. Regulation of sexual activity includes laws concerning incest. There are about half the states in the US that allow people to marry their first cousin. Socialization includes teaching children the ways and values of society. Parents, siblings, and other relatives are the beginning role models in a child's life. Reproduction entails replacing the members of a family who died or moved away. Some socities have norms such as who can marry, the number of children a couple can have, and the rights and responsibilities of parents. Economic and emotional security involve the different tasks females and males have and economic or emotional support a family gives.

There are four functions of family. These functions include regulation of sexual activity, reproduction, socialization, and economic and emotional security. There is some sort of regulation of sexual activity in every society. For example, every society has an incest taboo. Many places state that incestuous marriages are illegal, meaning that a person is unable to marry members of their family. However, there are some societies that allow first cousin marriages, including some states in the US. Another function is reproduction. Obviously, when someone dies or moves away from a society, that have to be replaced in order for that society to continue to thrive. There are also norms in each society about reproduction. For example, there are norms stating at what age someone is eligible to have children, how many children is appropriate per family, and what the rights and responsibilities of parents are. Additionally, socialization is another function of family. Families must teach their children the ways and values of a society. Basically, the family poses as the first role model in a young child's life. They are there to teach and mold the child into an acceptable member of society. Lastly, economic and emotional support is a function of family. The family is the basic economy unit, meaning they a big part of making the society thrive economically. The division of labor of most societies is usually based on age. Also, the family serves as emotional support for the youth. Families are there to protect children, be there for them, and keep them safe from harm.

There are four different types of functions for a family. One function is to enforce some type of incest taboo. This is a norm that is forbidding sexual relations or marriage between certain relatives. The next function is reproduction. This is important because in order to survive society must replace members who have passed away or moved away. In every society the family is the social unit for the performance of this function. The third function is socialization. Survival depends on teaching children the ways and values of the society. The last function is Economic and emotional security. Famly acts as the basic economic unit in society. The family is also expected to guide the individuals psychological development.

There are four main functions of the typical family: regulation of sexual activity, reproduction, socialization, an economic an emotional security. Regulation of sexual activity enforces some type of incest taboo within society. This means that an individual cannot marry certain members of their family, such as their parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, or uncles. Families reproduce so that they can replace members of their society when other members pass on. Society governs rules pertaining to childbearing and childrearing, which include eligibility to marry, parental rights, and the acceptable amount of children per family. The function of socialization depends on families to pass down the ways and values of society. This means that family is among the first agents of socialization and that parents, siblings, and other relatives serve as role models. The last function, economic an emotional security, states that families act as the basic economic unit. Labor is divide on the basis of gender, which is later divided within families. Families are also expected to guide the psychological development of its members an provide a loving environment.

to start the first function is the regulation of sexual activity, you cannot marry any one that you are related to unless you are in one of the states that allows you to marry one of your first cousins. the second function is that of reproduction, certain countries may limit the amount of children you can have, china is one of these. the third is the socialization of these children, it is very important to teach your children how to live in your society because if they don't do something right they may get into serious trouble dpending on where you live. the fourth and final of the functions is the economic and emotional security that you must provide for your children, the men and the women may or may not perform different roles within your family.

There are four functions of a family. Those four functions are regulation of sexual activity, reproduction, socialization, and economic/emotional security. Regulation of sexual activity tells people who they can marry and who they can't marry. In the United States you can't marry anyone who is related to you by blood, so you can't marry siblings, parents, grandparents, etc. Except some states let you marry your first cousin. Reproduction needs to take place in the function of a family because societies need to replace the members who die or move away. Another function of the family is socialization. The family is the first agent of socialization that most children encounter. Also most children first learn about the customs and norms of society from the family. The last function of a family is economic and emotional security. Emotional security is when the family provides emotional support of its members throughout their lives. Economic security is labor is divided on the basis of gender and age.

As you might already know, the four functions of the family are regulation of sexual activity, reproduction, socialization, and economic and emotional security. Regulation of sexual activity is simply incest and who you can and cannot marry. For example, in Pennsylvania you cannot marry any member of your family; no mom, dad, aunts, uncles, siblings, cousins, etc. In some states and cultures, you are allowed to marry your first cousins. The next function, reproduction, is filling the spot of someone who dies with another life. Reproduction, in societies, are established by norms governing child bearing and child rearing. For example, these norms are like the number of children you are allowed to have. Some cultures, like China, only allow a certain number of children to each set of parents. The third function is socialization. Socialization of the family is the first agent of socialization. This means that societies rely on the family to teach the children the ways of that society. Examples of the people that would be teaching them are parents, siblings, and other relatives. The last function of the family is economic and emotional security. The family is the basic economic unit and is expected to guide the psychological development and provide a loving environment to their children. An example of this would be parents having jobs to provide for their children. If parents didn’t provide for their children, the children wouldn’t know how to survive, including when they have children of their own.

The four concepts of the Functions of a family are regulation of sexual activity, reproduction, socialization, and economic and emotional security. Regulation of sexual activity includes the incest taboo. This means people are not allowed to have sexual relations with close family members. The family members included in the incest taboo varies. The second function is reproduction. Family is the approved method to replace population. Societies have developed norms to govern childbearing and rearing. These norms include the acceptable number of children to have, and who is eligible to become a parent. The third function is socialization. Family is the first agent of socialization. It is the families job to teach children the ways and values of society. Economic and emotional security is the last function. To provide for the economic needs of the family labor is divided based on age and gender. The family also has to guide the individuals psychological development and provide a loving and caring environment.

There are four main functions of the family. These functions are Regulation of Sexual Activity, Reproduction, Socialization, and Economic & Emotional Security. The first, Regulation of Sexual Activity, means that all societies regulate sexual activity of family members. In each society, there is some sort of “incest taboo.” An example of this could be that someone wants to marry their brother or sister, but society does not allow it due to them being family. The second function, Reproduction, means that societies must replace their own members to survive. The approved way to do this is through families. Parents have children, their children grow up and have more children, and so on. Even though society depends on the family for reproduction, there are norms in certain societies that govern reproduction. For example, the One Child Policy in China only allows couples to have one child, and they are heavily fined if they have more than one. The third function, Socialization, means that family is able to adjust its members to society. Parents teach their children the ways and norms of how a society is run, and what will be expected of them as they grow up. In fact, the family is the first agent of socialization. An example of this would be that a child is born in New York City, so the parents must teach him or her the ways of life in New York City. The fourth and final function is Economic & Social Security. This basically means that the family is able to support its members both financially, socially, and emotionally. An example of this would be a child being cared for by his parents, being provided with all of his material and nonmaterial needs.

The functions of the family are regulation of sexual activity, reproduction, socialization, and economic and emotional security. In all societies there is sexual activity. Most societies enforce incest taboo. Incest taboo is a norm forbidding sexual for relations or marriage between relatives. For example you cannot marry your parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, ect. Although in some states you can marry your first cousin. Every society reproduces. They determine who can marry and bear children, and set rules of who can raise children and how they are raised. Family plays a big role in socialization. Society depends on teaching its children the way and values of the society. The family is the ones to first teach the children this. For example your parents teach you right from wrong. Economic and Emotion security is very important in the function of the family. The family makes sure everyone is fed, clothed, and housed. Also they are to provide a loving and caring environment. For example they get a “boo boo” you are there to care and help them.

The four concepts of the Functions of a Family are regulation of sexual activity, reproduction, socialization, and economic & emotional security. Regulation of sexual activity is so that societies can get rid of incest. For example, it is generally disapproving for Americans to marry their nuclear or extended family. The next concept is socialization. Socialization is used to teach children the ways and values of the society. Family is usually the first agent of socialization and parents, siblings, and other relatives usually serve as the earliest role models. An example of this would be someone's family teaching them good manners and things of that nature. The third function is reproduction, which is mainly used to replace members of societies who died or moved away. Norms are usually set up to say who is eligible to marry or bear children, how many children is considered appropriate, and the rights and responsibilities of the parents. In China, there is a policy that allows families to have only one child. Lastly, there is economic and emotional security. This means that the family is the basic economic unit, but it also provides emotional support for its members.

There are four functions of the family. The first is regulation of sexual activity. This prevents us from marrying our sisters, parents and grand parents. Though marrying your cousin is legal in many states it is not looked upon very highly. The next function is reproduction. In this function family members must replace those who have passed away or moved away. Next is socialization. the faily teaches the values of society to the children. Last is that the family acts a the basic economic unit in society.

The four functions of family are the regulation of sexual activity, reproduction, socialization, and economic and emotional security. The regulation of sexual activity is enforced through a kind of incest taboo that regulates people from marrying close relatives. The socialization function teaches the ways and values of society through the family. For instance your family serves as your first role model. Another function is economic and emotional security. In our society, the family is the basic economy unit and the division of labor is based on age rather than gender. Last, reproduction is another function of the family in that when members die, they must be replaced. Whether a family has more children is based off of how many children they want, who can have children, and whether they can take on more responsibilty.

Without the functions of a family, there wouldn’t be a family. Reproduction, Socialization, Regulation of Sexual Activity, and Economic and Emotional Security are all functions of the family in a society. The regulation of Sexual Activity pertains to some type of incest, meaning that there are levels of incest that are accepted and denied by society. Half of the states in the US allow marriages between first cousins, but a person cannot marry their parents, grandparents, siblings, etc. The family is also the social unit for the performance of this function. But society creates norms about who can marry and how many children is considered “appropriate”, and these children are the responsibility of the parents. In terms of socialization, the family is the first group of people that a new child will socialize with. So the child has the views of that family because they have not been exposed to the rest of the world. The final piece to the puzzle of the family is economic and emotional security. Jobs can stereotypically fall to males, as they do to females. For example, the male is the “breadwinner” and the female is the “stay at home mom”, but females are starting to break this stereotype by entering the work force instead. In most industrial nations, both the male and female are responsible for earning money. Emotional security is the final job of the family. The members of the family depend on each other for emotional support through the hard times and the glorious times, in addition to providing a loving and caring environment.

In society there are four main functions of a family, first is regulation of sexual activity, then comes reproduction, followed by socialization, and ending with economic and emotional security. The first, talks about how society regulates activities of their members to some degree, for example: incest taboo is a norm forbidding any sexual relation between kin. Next comes Reproduction, where without it, our popualtion would have died out. Then is Socialization, which is how children learn customs and norms through their family first before anyone else. Last is Economic and emotional security talking about how faimly is expected to guid psychological development and provide a loving environment.
